We’re looking for talented online marketers with the following qualifications:

  • Absolutely must have a passion for online marketing!
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years’ Internet Marketing experience in an agency setting
  • Strong Search Engine Marketing (SEO) and Social Media Marketing (SMM) skills
  • Excellent communicators both written and oral (we want you to be great with computers AND be able to talk to humans)
  • Skilled in content creation for hotel websites, third party websites and company blog

Position & Company Overview

Blue Magnet Interactive is a hotel online marketing agency seeking an enthusiastic, self-starting individual to join our team in a full-time position as an Associate Internet Marketing Specialist. This individual will assist an Internet Marketing Account Manager in the management and execution of the complete online marketing campaigns for an expanding portfolio of hotels across the country. The Associate Internet Marketing Specialist will receive on-the-job training to become an Internet Marketing Account Manager, who manages the entire online marketing strategy and client communication for 8 to 10 hotel clients. The Associate Specialist position will start out with minimal client communication, but will be trained to become the account lead (Account Manager) for approximately 5 of the 8 to 10 hotels. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the online marketing and hotel industries, with strong organizational, time-management, writing, interpersonal, communication and multitasking skills. If you have a background in SEO, PPC or social media management we would love to hear from you.

Our internet marketing team oversees all aspects of our hotel clients' online marketing campaigns, including copywriting, search engine optimization, website content updates, social media management, pay-per-click advertising, link-building campaigns, local search optimization, online travel agency updates (think Expedia), web analytics and reporting. Blue Magnet also specializes in hotel website design and development and offers an array of online tools and services to drive customers to book on our hotel clients' websites.

Job Summary:

  • Assist Internet Marketing Account Manager in the effective implementation of online marketing campaigns for approximately 8-10 hotels
  • Work with Internet Marketing Manager to develop a comprehensive annual online marketing plan to guide hotels through our monthly strategy for optimizing their online presence
  • Associate Specialist will be groomed to become the account lead for approximately 5 of the Account Manager’s 8 to 10 hotel clients
  • Associate Specialist may be promoted to Account Manager position, provided the Associate Specialist can show proven success in fully managing approximately 5 inherited hotel clients from their Account Manager
  • Write compelling copy for hotel websites, social media channels, blogs and other third party websites
  • Conduct keyword research and integrate effective search engine optimization techniques into hotel websites
  • Make website content updates (text and imagery) utilizing an online content management system
  • Keep track of multiple ongoing initiatives
  • Analyze web analytics reports and make recommendations based on what is presented in the data (ie, Google Analytics reports, social media reports, email campaign reports)
  • Stay on top of online marketing trends, integrate findings into existing campaigns and share new info with internal team
  • Set up and monitor e-mail marketing campaigns
  • Report to the Internet Marketing Account Manager regarding the progress of your marketing campaigns
  • Very minimal travel may be required
  • Salary commensurate with experience

Paid Search Specialist:

We’re seeking talented, paid search-focused internet marketers with the following qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years’ strong PPC(AdWords and Bing Ads) management experience with proven success
  • 1-2 years’ Internet Marketing experience in an agency setting
  • Experience with Google AdWords Keyword Planner, campaign creation, daily management, campaign tracking, and continual performance optimization
  • Properly and efficiently set-up paid search campaigns using Google AdWords including keyword research (discovery and expansion), review and editing of creative copy (titles and descriptions), creating ad extensions, using Enhanced Campaigns, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Experience with direct client facing responsibilities such as collaborative strategic planning and monthly performance reporting
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

  • Manage the day-to-day search marketing activities across multiple search engines (Google,Bing Ads, etc.) including the campaign planning, implementation, budget management, performance review, and optimization of paid search campaigns.
  • Daily paid campaign management on additional channels such as: Google Hotel Price Ads, Facebook, Twitter, TravelAds, travel sites meta search, and others.
  • Grow and optimize campaigns through testing with ad copy, landing pages, bidding strategies, negative keywords, etc.
  • Implement and manage search and display retargeting campaigns
  • Coordinate the implementation of campaign conversion tracking
  • Must be able to pull, skillfully analyze, and present paid search reports to Account Managers and clients
  • Continually increase knowledge of current best practices and strategies for management of digital paid search
