Meet Alex Moritz
Digital Marketing Manager
Where are you from and how did you wind up at Blue Magnet Interactive?
I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, where I also attended high school and college. I spent my time as an undergraduate student pursuing studies in psychology and visual art at Towson University. A year into my life as the proud owner of a bachelor's degree, I started to miss the feeling of being a student. It was not long until I found myself back in school, except this time, as a graduate student earning my master's in public communications at Drexel University Online. After spending 23.5 years of my life in Smalltimore, I was also ready for a change of scenery and feeling impulsive when I decided to tack on the move halfway across the country to Chicago. Flash forward to 4.5 years (you do the math) and a few career shifts later, and here I am still a resident of Chicago, pursuing the role that I have been waiting for all these years -- as Digital Marketing Manager at Blue Magnet Interactive.
What's a fun fact about you?
I rode and competed as an equestrian horseback rider for 7 years.
If we lived in a world without internet, what would be your alternate career?
I would own a dog rescue and/or become an art therapist..
What is your guilty pleasure?
Watching documentary series based on the dramatic lives of affluent housewives living in various cities across the US… (aka Real Housewives on Bravo TV)
If you could have dinner with anyone (living, deceased, or fictional), who would it be and why?
Prince because I would want him to give me a makeover and offer his advice on love/life in general, like he does for Zooey Deschanel’s character in "New Girl". Ultimately, I would give him no choice but to be my best friend.
If a restaurant were to name a sandwich after you, what would be on it?
Pickles, hot peppers, hot sauce, ranch dressing, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Does that sound gross?
