Paid Media Manager (PPC / SEM)


Blue Magnet Interactive is currently seeking a talented, full-time Paid Media Manager to oversee and manage display, search, remarketing, and meta search ad campaigns for clients in the travel and hospitality industry.

The Paid Media Manager position is accountable for upholding our company’s SEM standards and generating business for our hospitality clients through the configuration and management of individual client PPC advertising campaigns and initiatives.

Responsibilities

SEM Strategy

  • Recommend media spend for client-facing proposals
  • Summarize recommendations to client-facing team
  • Monthly budget recommendations and performance analysis for clients

PPC Account Setup

  • Launch new paid search accounts.
  • Optimize existing accounts monthly.
  • Set up billing preferences.
  • Establish proper links between Google Adwords, Google Analytics, and other system integrations.
  • Setup conversion tracking.

Campaign Management

  • Maintain appropriate budget pacing for accounts.
  • Audit and optimize account performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with account facing team to identify new PPC opportunities for clients.
  • Proactively bring campaign / ad ideas to account facing team and Paid Strategist.
  • Troubleshoot conversion / attribution issues (when applicable).

Reporting & Analysis

  • Monthly analysis of client accounts.
  • Communicate reporting highlights and account updates to account facing team.
  • Troubleshoot conversion / attribution issues (when applicable).

Qualifying & Onboarding New PPC Business

  • Work with account facing team to understand hotel objectives.
  • Identify PPC opportunities and limitations based on hotel’s brand and website.
  • Assemble budget proposals and analysis for new and existing clients.

Various Tasks

  • Position calls for wearing many hats, and may often require various tasks outside of the scope outlined above.

Qualifications

  • Experience drafting formal documents and reports for presentation: Microsoft Office and Google for Work Suites
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required: Impress us with nested functions, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, macros and Visual Basic

Preferred

  • Basic understanding of foundational digital marketing channels, and how they work together
  • Hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns
  • Advanced experience with HTML5
  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator experience is a plus
  • Experience in the hospitality vertical is a plus
  • Adobe Marketing/Omniture or other web analytics platform experience.
  • Familiarity with setup/configuration/and troubleshooting of tracking snippets, URL query parameters/tags, conversion pixels, cookies, and other forms of web tracking.
  • Certification in Google Adwords and/or Analytics
    • Successfully passed Google’s Analytics, Adwords Fundamentals and Advanced Search Advertising, and other Exam/certification courses.
    • Without cheating a plus. (Yes, we can tell the difference).
